Coconino County - Workforce Development Board
Overview
The Coconino Workforce Development Board is appointed by the Coconino County Board of Supervisors to provide direction and policy guidance to workforce partners designated in the 2014 Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
Vision Statement
The vision of the CCWDB is to serve as a strategic leader and convener of local workforce development system stakeholders; partner with employers and the workforce development system to develop local policies and investments to support workforce system strategies; and support regional approaches including local and regional sector partnerships and career pathways, and high-quality customer centered service delivery and approaches in the Coconino County American Job Center identified as ARIZONA@WORK American Job Center.
Purpose Statement
The purpose of the CCWDB is to provide strategic and operational oversight in collaboration with partners and workforce stakeholders to help develop a comprehensive and high-quality workforce development system in the local area and larger planning region; assist in the achievement of the strategic and operational vision and goals as outlined in the Unified State Plan; and maximize and continue to improve the quality of services, customer satisfaction and effectiveness of the services provided in the American Job Center.
