The City of Phoenix Youth Programs offer pathways to success. If you are a youth that is looking to get back into school, start college planning or begin your career preparation our programs will work with you to create your college and career blueprint. Services include: Advice and planning; College preparation; Leadership programs; Basic skills training; Tutoring; Career readiness; Support services; Education planning; and Career guidance.

PHOENIX YOUTH RISE PROGRAM

Looking for a Summer Job?

What is Phoenix RISE? The Phoenix Youth Reach and Invest in Summer Employment (R.I.S.E.) program provides employment opportunities for youth, ages 16 to 24 years old, to learn the general aspects of working in a business during the summer months. This internship offers a pathway to building a stronger work ethic and making future connections.

Participating in R.I.S.E provides valuable insight into future career opportunities, work readiness training and helps create and build your future professional network.

Eligibility:
• 16 - 24 years at time of application
• Reside in City of Phoenix
• Have legal right to work documentation in the U. S.
• Must be available to work entire length of internship, 4 weeks, (20 hours per week for a total of 80 hours)
• Must be able to attend a mandatory work readiness training
• Must have own transportation to work site regardless of proximity to residence (bus is reliable transportation). Work site locations will vary by availability and location

Internship timeframe:  May - July of each year (timeframes may vary slightly)

Applications will be accepted from April 6, 2024 - May 15, 2024 (application will close sooner if filled)
