The STRENGTHENING WORKING FAMILIES INITIATIVE (SWFI) is an opportunity for parents who are seeking growth within their careers. Finding work while being a parent is tough and SWFI provides workforce and support services for you and your family’s needs.
MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The project will recruit, train and assist low-income parents with dependent children who qualify for Head Start, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and/or Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act programs in securing and retaining employment in the targeted middle to high skilled H-1B occupations, specifically in Healthcare, Information Technology, and Business. Free training opportunities and childcare services for those with dependents who qualify.
Do you meet the Minimum Requirements?
- Do you have a child that is 13 years or younger?
- Do you have a high school diploma or GED?
- Are you authorized to work in the United States?
- Are you 17 years or older?
